The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (August 21) in areas across the country.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri will have heavy to very heavy rain.
The midland and deltas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The Central and Southern highlands will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. Rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and night.

Hanoi City
Lowest temperature: 23-25 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. North to northeast wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Northwest
Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Light wind. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Northeast
Lowest temperature: 22-25 degrees Celsius, some places below 22 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; in the midlands and deltas, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Thanh Hoa to Hue

This evening, coastal areas from Nghe An to Quang Tri will still have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8; mainland along the coast of Ha Tinh - Bac Quang Tri will have level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusting to level 10; then the wind will gradually decrease. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
South Central Coast
Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees Celsius.
Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places above 34 degrees Celsius.
Cloudy, the North (Da Nang and the East of Quang Ngai) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain in some places.
