On July 2nd, Standing Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen signed a document requesting departments, branches, localities and relevant units to urgently implement measures to respond to the tropical depression in the East Sea that is likely to strengthen into a storm and cause heavy rain in the coming days.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the early morning of July 2, the center of the tropical depression was located in the North East Sea area, about 240km east-northeast of the Hoang Sa special zone.
The tropical depression has winds of level 7, gusts of level 9, moving in a west-northwest direction at a speed of about 25km/h and is likely to strengthen into a storm on July 3.
The Provincial People's Committee requests localities to closely monitor the developments of the tropical depression; promptly inform owners of vehicles and ships operating at sea to proactively prevent and avoid it.
From there, propagate and guide vehicle owners and ships not to enter dangerous areas and maintain regular contact to promptly handle arising situations.
Localities are also assigned to review areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides; develop plans to evacuate people at key points when necessary; prepare sufficient forces, vehicles, and materials to be ready for rescue and relief and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police and relevant units to organize serious duty shifts, regularly update weather developments, promptly advise and deploy response plans, and minimize damage to people and property caused by storms and floods.
