    Lam Dong - In Tanh Linh commune, a sudden stream of ice and tornadoes occurred, causing 34 houses of households to have their roofs blown off, damaging many structures.

    On August 10, the People's Committee of Tanh Linh commune, Lam Dong province had initial statistics on the damage caused by hail and tornadoes on the evening of August 9 in the area.

    Accordingly, 34 houses of households had their roofs blown off and their trees fell. Lac Tanh 1 Primary School had a fence about 10m long collapse. A radio pole broke and fell into a house. The main power grid of Tanh Linh commune lost power.

    The total preliminary damage was initially estimated at over 1 billion VND.

    Mr. Mai Tri Man - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh commune said that the locality is continuing to review and count the damage situation. The Commune Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue mobilized shock forces and commune police to help families whose roofs were blown off clean up, move belongings and arrange temporary accommodation for people.
