The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan on February 22 is forecast to have strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8. The sea is rough, with waves 2 - 3m high.
The central and southern East Sea area (including the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 7 - 8.
Day and night of February 23, the Gulf of Tonkin and the North East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas, waves 3 - 5m high; the Gulf of Tonkin will have waves 2 - 3.5m high.
From the night of February 23, the sea area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 3 - 5m high, especially from Binh Dinh to Khanh Hoa 2 - 4m.
The meteorological agency warns that the risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and big waves.
