On December 8, the Office of the People's Committee of Son La province informed that the Provincial People's Committee has just approved the plan to auction the right to exploit minerals for common construction materials in unexplored areas for 5 mines in the area, details as follows:
Sand mine area 3, Ta Hoc village, Ta Hoc commune, Mai Son district; Chim Van commune, Bac Yen district (area 29.55 ha).
Sand mine in Khoc A village, Muong Khoa commune; Cai B village, Chim Van commune, Bac Yen district (area 46.83 ha).
Sand mine in Ngam village, Song Pe commune and Chieng Sai commune, Bac Yen district (area 32 ha).
Sand mines in Ban Khang, Ban Khoc A, Muong Khoa commune and Ban Cai B, Chim Van commune, Bac Yen district (area 3.82 ha).
Sand mine in Ban Chan, Tuong Thuong commune, Phu Yen district (area 16.02 ha).
The People's Committee of Son La province assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and People's Committees of Mai Son, Bac Yen and Phu Yen districts to organize and carry out the auction of mineral exploitation rights for the above 5 sand mines in accordance with the provisions of law.
Take full responsibility for the data and procedures for issuing the mineral exploitation rights auction plan in this decision; take full responsibility for the conclusions of competent authorities when conducting inspections, checks, audits and legal agencies.
At the same time, proactively direct inspections and checks. If any violations are detected, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
Implementation period from 2024-2025. In which, in the fourth quarter of 2024, auction documents will be completed; in the first quarter of 2025, auction sessions will be organized.
In case by the end of the first quarter of 2025, the auction is unsuccessful or the auction of mineral exploitation rights for the 5 sand mines in Mai Son, Bac Yen and Phu Yen districts approved in this plan has not been conducted, the auction of mineral exploitation rights will be transferred to 2025 and the following years.
