On the afternoon of December 4, Cat Tien 3 Commune Police (Lam Dong) coordinated with Ms. Pham Thi Oanh (49 years old, living in the locality) to complete the rare java pangolin for Gia Vien Forest Protection Station (belonging to Cat Tien National Park) to release back into the wild.
Before that, late on December 3, while preparing to go to bed, Ms. Oanh heard a strange noise in the garden. After that, Ms. Oanh turned on the flashlight to check and discovered the pangolin coming from outside the cow's road into her garden.
Seeing that, Ms. Oanh immediately caught the pangolin and put it in a sack to bring it to Cat Tien 3 Commune Police to report and hand it over that night.
According to the Gia Vien Commune Forest Protection Station, the pangolin weighed more than 3kg and was in good health.
After receiving the pangolin, the unit completed the procedures to coordinate with the authorities of Ca Tien 3 commune and the people to hand over the pangolin to the natural environment.
