After moving back to her hometown to live, Ms. Dang Giang (33 years old, Bac Ninh) spent about 80m2 around her house to build a vegetable garden and flower garden, creating a green space for daily activities. It was her love for the environment that motivated her to start gardening.
I originally really liked plants, so when I moved back to my hometown, I immediately started gardening. I want to have a fresh space, with green trees and clean vegetables to serve family meals," Ms. Dang Giang shared.
To have the garden as it is now, Ms. Dang Giang has changed many times the arrangement and selection of plants to suit weather conditions and family needs.

Before each change, I usually sketch ideas on paper and then start doing it right away. When choosing vegetables or crops, I prioritize the types that my family likes to eat, suitable for the weather, and arrange them conveniently for care," Ms. Dang Giang said.
In the early days of gardening, Ms. Dang Giang encountered many difficulties due to lack of experience in caring for plants, especially fertilization techniques and pest and disease treatment.
There were times when I didn't know which type of fertilizer to fertilize or how to treat worms and aphids, so some plants did not develop well, even failed," Ms. Dang Giang said.
To overcome the initial difficulties, she proactively learned from the experience of long-time gardeners in the area.
I was instructed by the neighbors on how to use materials available at home to treat worms and aphids. Thanks to that, the plants grow better and I am also assured when using vegetables for my family," she recounted.

After maintaining the garden for a while, she noticed many changes in her family's life. The meal has an additional source of clean vegetables grown by herself, and at the same time, she formed the habit of using kitchen waste to compost organic fertilizer for plants: " composting from kitchen waste both helps reduce waste and saves the cost of buying fertilizer. I think this is also a small way to contribute to environmental protection.

Besides gardening moments, Ms. Giang often records videos and shares images on social networks. This is where she shares gardening experiences to spread small tips and learn more from experienced people.
I often share some small tips when gardening, and listen to feedback from everyone to make it more effective in the next times," Ms. Dang Giang said.
According to Ms. Dang Giang, if each family has the conditions, they should set aside a small space to grow vegetables or green plants. Not only providing clean food sources, small gardens also contribute to forming a green living habit and reducing the amount of waste discharged into the environment.
Everyone, please start doing it right away. It's okay if a few times are not successful, because each time is a lesson. Growing vegetables is not difficult, it's only difficult if you don't start," Ms. Dang Giang advised.
