The intertropical convergence zone has its axis at about 14 - 17 degrees north latitude, connected to a low pressure area at 7:00 AM on September 10, located at about 14.5 - 15.5 degrees north latitude; 114.5 - 115.5 degrees east longitude.
Forecast for about 1-2 days, the low pressure area is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.
On the day and night of September 10, the area from Lam Dong to Ho Chi Minh City will have strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8; rough seas, sea waves 2 - 3m high.
On the night of September 10th, the Gulf of Tonkin and the north of the Northern East Sea will have strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8; rough seas, waves 2 - 3m high.
The Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from southern Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, the sea area south of the Northern East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone), the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone) have showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7 - 8, sea waves over 2m high.
On the day and night of September 11, in the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern sea area of the Northern East Sea, Northeast wind will be strong at level 6, gusting at level 7 - 8; sea waves will be 2 - 4m high; rough seas.
The sea area from Lam Dong to Ho Chi Minh City has Southwest wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts level 7 - 8, sea waves 2 - 3m high; rough seas.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
