Quang Binh - Seeing two children being swept away by the water, five students from Bo Trach Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities jumped in to rescue them.

On October 24, the People's Committee of Thuong Trach commune said that 5 students in the area had just saved 2 children from the rushing water.

Previously, at around 3:30 p.m. on October 20, 6th and 8th grade students from Bo Trach Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (in Thuong Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province) including: Dinh Phuong, Dinh Kheo, Dinh Duc, Di Ca Ngu, Dinh Beo were playing on the road from school to near Niu slope (in Ca Roong II village, Thuong Trach commune) when they heard cries for help and discovered 2 children floating in the middle of the rushing water.

Dinh Phuong immediately called her friends to follow her and jumped into the stream to save the people. The strong current prevented her from reaching the two children. The other four friends quickly ran ahead, choosing a favorable position to swim out to save the people.

After that, two students Dinh Ca Ngu and Dinh Beo rescued Dinh Nghi (a second grade student at Thuong Trach Primary School No. 1) and brought him safely to shore.

Dinh Duc and Dinh Kheo saved Dinh Minh (a first grader at the same school).

The Bo Trach Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities Union has rewarded the above 5 students for their brave actions.
