The grassroots delegation of the Mobile Police Department - Quang Ngai Provincial Police has just continuously donated platelets for 3 days (from May 7 - 9) to support treatment, contributing to adding hope of survival for patients.
Accordingly, information was received from the Department of Hematology - Blood Transfusion - Quang Ngai Provincial General Hospital about the case of Ms. Vo Thi Hon (70 years old), in Long Phung commune, suffering from long-term cirrhosis, liver tumor complications and many other serious diseases, who is urgently in need of platelet transfusion for treatment.
Upon receiving information, the grassroots Youth Union of the Mobile Police Department quickly launched youth union members (YUMs) to participate in donating platelets to save people. Many YUMs proactively registered early and rotated to participate in support when the patient's health condition had not improved positively.
As a result, for 3 consecutive days, 3 Youth Union members of the unit donated a total of 750ml of platelets, serving the treatment of patients.
Faced with the still complicated health developments of patients, the youth of the Mobile Police Department are still ready to continue participating in blood donation.
Blood donation to save people has become a regular activity, imbued with the human spirit of the youth of the Mobile Police Department. Since the beginning of the year, Youth Union members of the unit have donated more than 110 units of blood and platelets, serving emergency and treatment for patients at leading medical units.
Those silent gestures not only contribute to extending the lives of many patients but also spread the beautiful image of a brave, responsible and compassionate police officer in everyday life.
