On June 17, a representative of Binh Tri Dong B Ward Police (Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that Major Vu Van Cuong, a ward police officer, had just taken a beautiful action when picking up a wallet that had fallen on the road and quickly contacted and returned it to the owner.
According to information from the ward police, while performing patrol duties to ensure security and order in the area, Major Cuong discovered a wallet lying on the roadside. Inside were 3,230,000 VND in cash, 5 pieces of 18K gold and many important personal documents named Son Hoang Thien (born in 2000, from Soc Trang province).
Immediately after the discovery, Major Cuong reported to the Ward Police Command, coordinated to verify the information and contacted Mr. Son Hoang Thien to return all the lost assets.
Mr. Thien said that while traveling to work, he accidentally dropped his wallet without knowing it. Receiving the property back helps him avoid many problems, especially not having to return to his hometown to re-issue personal documents. He expressed his emotions and sent his thanks to Major Cuong as well as all officers of Binh Tri Dong B Ward Police.
