On the evening of September 9, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with Ham Thang Ward Police to handle the oil spill incident on the road.

In the afternoon of the same day, a section of about 600m long on Hai Thuong Lan Ong street through Ham Thang ward, Lam Dong province, appeared a long and shiny oil spill.
The oil stain is suspected to have originated from an oil tanker spilling onto the road. Oil sticking to the road surface caused many motorcyclists to skid and fall.

Because there was a lot of traffic in the afternoon, the oil continued to be run over by the wheels and stuck in many places.
Especially near the area with a garment company with many workers finishing their shifts.
Upon receiving the news, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 and Ham Thang Ward Police quickly arrived at the scene. Functional forces placed warning devices to limit vehicles from entering the oil-filled area and prevent accidents.
Dump trucks were mobilized to transport sand to the scene. Functional forces scooped sand and spread it evenly on the oil stain to absorb oil and reduce the slipperiness of the road surface.

By the evening of the same day, the area was basically treated, and the road surface was more safe for vehicles to travel.
The Traffic Police force continues to investigate the vehicle that caused the incident to clarify and handle according to regulations.
