According to the Ministry of Public Security, on January 7, 2026, Tan Linh Commune Police (Lao Cai province) promptly coordinated with the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security to prevent and support bringing 2 students who voluntarily dropped out of school and left the locality to work as hired laborers back to their families safely.

Previously, on the morning of January 3, two children H.T.K. and L.T.H. (both born in 2011, residing in Tan Linh commune, Lao Cai province) voluntarily dropped out of school, invited each other to leave the locality to work as hired laborers in Bac Ninh province without notifying their families, without leaving contact addresses, causing family members to worry.

Immediately after receiving the report, Tan Linh Commune Police urgently deployed measures to collect information and review the children's travel routes.

During the verification process, functional forces determined that the 2 children were moving on a passenger car to Bac Ninh province. Tan Linh Commune Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security to stop the vehicle for inspection at Km6 Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway and promptly prevented the children from continuing to leave the locality, and at the same time supported vehicles and costs for the family to pick up the children safely.

Before the timely and responsible support of the Police force, the families of the 2 children sent a thank you letter to Tan Linh Commune Police, expressing their gratitude for the spirit of responsibility and dedication of officers and soldiers of the unit.
