On August 20, Tuy An Bac Commune Police, Dak Lak province said that the unit had just coordinated with people and relevant forces to search and bring an 80-year-old man who got lost more than 20km back home safely at night.
At about 9 pm on August 18, Tuy An Bac Commune Police received a report from the family about Mr. Nguyen Van Ba (born in 1946, residing in the commune) leaving home at about 7:30 pm on the same day but not returning.
The family organized searches in many places but without results, so they reported to the police agency for support.
According to information from relatives, due to his old age, Mr. Ba showed signs of dementia. When leaving the house, he rode a bicycle and did not inform his family where he would go.
Tuy An Bac Commune Police mobilized forces, deployed verification measures and organized searches.
During the search, the police force continuously updated and compared information sources, combined images from security cameras, information provided by people and actual review results to determine the direction of Ms. Ba's movement.
At about 0:10 on August 19, Mr. Nguyen Van Ba was found in the Trieu Son gas station area, Xuan Tho commune, more than 20km from his house.
At the time of being found, Mrs. Ba's health was basically stable. The police force quickly provided support, taking her and her bicycle home, and handing them over safely to her family.
