People thanked the police officers for bringing the lost old woman home on New Year's Eve.

On February 6, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that on the eve of the Lunar New Year 2025, through armed patrols to ensure security and order, Ngoc Phung Commune Police and Team 282 of Thuong Xuan District Police discovered and helped an elderly woman who had lost her way home safely.

Accordingly, at about 2:45 a.m. on January 29, 2025 (New Year's Eve), while patrolling to ensure security and order on National Highway 47 in Hoa Lam village, Ngoc Phung commune, Thuong Xuan district, Ngoc Phung commune police and Working Group 282 of Thuong Xuan district police discovered an elderly woman of nearly 90 years old showing signs of fatigue, panic, and not knowing the way home.

The working group quickly took the old lady to the commune police headquarters for a rest and recovery. After being taken care of and asked, the old lady only remembered Can's name, because she didn't know the way at night, so she got lost.

From the above little information, Ngoc Phung Commune Police quickly verified on the population data system, thereby identifying the old lady as Le Thi Can, born in 1940 with permanent residence in Quarter 2, Thuong Xuan Town, Thuong Xuan District. After determining the relatives of the lost person, the working group contacted Thuong Xuan Town Police to verify the information of relatives and specific addresses and bring Ms. Can back to her family.
