On December 4, the People's Committee of Ba Don Ward (Quang Tri Province) announced that it had just commended and unexpectedly rewarded Mr. Ha Thai Son (born in 1983, residing in residential group 5) for his brave act of saving drowning people.
At noon on December 1, in the Kenh Kia bridge area on National Highway 12A, people discovered a drowning person and shouted for help. Hearing the shout, Mr. Son, who was near the scene, quickly approached, swam out and brought the victim to shore safely. The victim is currently in stable health and spirit.

With timely actions, Mr. Ha Thai Son was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Don Ward. Immediately after the commendation ceremony, Mr. Son presented all his bonuses to the Ward Fatherland Front Committee to support people in flooded areas.
The People's Committee of Ba Don Ward said that Mr. Son's act of saving people and sending bonuses demonstrated a noble gesture, contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity and the tradition of mutual love in the community.
