A stall is neatly decorated, complete with a variety of necessities, fried kimchi, rice, clothes, ... all for only 0 VND, to welcome those in need in Thoi Lai town, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city.
Sitting in a wheelchair to pick up things at the booth, Ms. Chau Thi Bich Nga (39 years old, Thoi Lai town) emotionally said: My wife and I are both disabled and have to sell lottery tickets every day to make a living. Since having a 0 VND stall, my family has eased some of the burden and saved some money to take care of our children's education."

The atmosphere at the booth is always bustling with laughter, greetings, and thanks from giveers and recipients. Many elderly people, lottery ticket sellers, freelancers... also came to receive 0 VND gifts, choosing old clothes that were still good for themselves or bring home to their families.
Mr. Le Van Nam - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Thoi Lai town - said that starting from the familiar "Zero-dong Banh Mi cabinet", the "Zero-dong Booth" model was officially launched at the end of 2024, meeting the needs of the people.
"At first, there were only 0 VND banh mi cabinets here. Thanks to the cooperation of benefactors, the unit has expanded into a booth with a variety of necessities, to share love and bring joy to the people, said Mr. Nam.

Located at Thoi Lai Town People's Committee, the booth opens at 7am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, giving gifts (worth 150,000 VND/gift) including rice, instant noodles and necessities... to those in need. In addition to gifts, people can freely choose used clothes that are still good. All clothes were collected from the mobilization of union members and young people, along with the kindness of the community.
There are currently 15 union members and young people participating in "Zero-dong store". Not only providing material support, this place also spreads the spirit of humanity and connects volunteer hearts. The emotional images of the recipients are the motivation for the Youth Union to maintain and develop the model.

Appreciating the effectiveness of the model, Mr. Truong Phuoc Loc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Thoi Lai Town Party Committee - affirmed that this is a practical activity, contributing to supporting people in difficult circumstances to reduce the burden.
With practical results, "Zero-dong booth" not only helps the poor in a timely manner, children in difficulty, and unfortunate lives, but has become a trusted address for kind-hearted people to express love and share with the community.
In the coming time, the Thoi Lai Town Youth Union plans to expand its scale, calling for more support from the community to spread love and help more people.
