Information from Hai Phong City Police, at 2:45 am on June 2, in the area in front of house number 116 Lach Tray (bordering area between Gia Vien ward and Le Chan ward, Hai Phong), subject Phan Tuan Hung (born in 1980, residing in Da Nang street, Ngo Quyen ward, Hai Phong) used a knife to injure a woman who was driving a motorbike on the road.
The victim was identified as Ms. Nguyen Thi L (born in 1970, residing in Hung Dao ward, Hai Phong). Ms. L was injured in the face, eyes, thighs and two legs. Initial verification showed that Ms. L and Hung did not know each other and had no conflicts.
According to people's camera footage, while the subject held a knife in both hands, continuously attacking the woman, a young man bravely took a helmet and threw it at the subject, then continued to use fire sprinklers to spray directly at the subject, causing the subject to disperse, lose vision, and stop the inhumane act.
Video clip of a brave young man rescuing people in an emergency quickly spread on social networks, attracting public attention. Most condemned the tattooed subject's behavior. At the same time, praised the courageous spirit, not caring about danger of the young man. The online community also quickly found information that this young man is Pham The Huy Hoang (born in 2001, residing in Duong Kinh ward, Hai Phong).

In the afternoon of June 2, in an exchange with Lao Dong, Huy Hoang said that at 2:30 am, Hoang had just eaten late at night, on the way home. Going to the area of the City Martyrs' Monument, Hoang saw a shirtless subject, full of tattoos, holding a knife in his hand, constantly cursing. This subject rushed in and attacked a woman riding a motorbike continuously.
At this time, some people also witnessed the incident, but because the subject was too aggressive, they did not dare to rush in to rescue the victim. Realizing the emergency situation, just a little delay could affect the victim's life, Hoang quickly ran to a nearby gas station to get a fire extinguisher and rushed out to the road where the subject committed the crime. "At that time, I just thought I had to do something really quickly to rescue the victim, because who knows, the person lying there might be my relative, so I did not hesitate to rush in to rescue" - Hoang shared.
Hoang took the helmet on his head and threw it at the subject, then used a fire extinguisher to spray strongly at the subject, causing the subject to disperse, lose vision, and temporarily stop the inhumane act. After that, Hoang continued to take the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment. When he approached the victim, Hoang saw that Ms. L was seriously injured and still conscious, so he quickly took her to the hospital for emergency treatment. Now hearing the news that the victim was out of danger, Hoang is very happy.
