Speaking at the program "For a healthier Vietnam", Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health emphasized: "In 2025, the Ministry of Health will continue to implement solutions to improve the quality of health services, develop a satellite hospital system, expand the remote medical examination and treatment model and transfer medical technology to localities. In particular, health care for people in disadvantaged areas is always a top priority.
This program not only provides free medical examination and treatment services but also demonstrates the concern and companionship of the whole society in improving the quality of life for ethnic minorities. This is also a testament to the spirit of shock of the youth in the health sector, contributing to the implementation of important tasks assigned by the Party and the State.

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Health, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and accompanying units, in response to the 2025 Youth Month.
The "For a healthier Vietnam" program in 2025 is a successful follow-up to 2024, and is also part of a series of activities responding to the annual Youth Month of the youth sector in the health sector. The program not only focuses on medical examination and treatment for the community, raising awareness of personal hygiene, but also prioritizes medical support for remote, isolated and disadvantaged localities across the country.
In addition, the program also implements activities to improve grassroots health capacity, support screening and early detection of non-communicable diseases for those in difficult circumstances and ethnic minorities. At the same time, the program also promotes digital transformation in healthcare, helping people easily access quality healthcare services.
At the program, more than 50 doctors from central hospitals directly examined and consulted on health for people. The examination categories include general examination, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, respiratory, ENT, ultrasound, electrocardiogram measurement, blood sugar, blood lipid testing, breast cancer screening, lung cancer... In particular, the program also applies artificial intelligence in imaging diagnosis, helping to detect many dangerous diseases early.
In addition to medical examination and treatment services, the program also organizes communication activities on health care, reasonable nutrition and a healthy lifestyle to prevent diseases. Notably, the program also promotes propaganda about the harmful effects of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, contributing to raising people's awareness of this issue.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee presented 10 gifts to disadvantaged households and 10 gifts to poor children overcoming difficulties.
