Towards the flood victims
Accordingly, in recent days, the authorities and people in all districts, towns and cities of Thanh Hoa province have responded to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to donate and support people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.
On September 10 and 11, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, provincial departments, districts, towns and cities in the area launched a fundraising campaign to support flood victims. At the launching ceremony, in the spirit of "mutual love and support", leaders of units, civil servants and workers enthusiastically participated in contributing and supporting.
At the launching ceremony in Thanh Hoa City, Mr. Le Anh Xuan - Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee said that the donation and support is an activity with noble humanitarian meaning, showing the feelings and responsibility of each cadre, civil servant, public employee, and worker, contributing to helping the affected people overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
“With that spirit, I request that agencies, units, departments and functional offices call on cadres, civil servants, public employees and philanthropists to support with the highest spirit” - Secretary of Thanh Hoa City Party Committee emphasized.
Noble deeds and actions
Responding to the call for support, in recent days, people, organizations and units in many localities of Thanh Hoa province have carried out very meaningful work.
Typically, on September 11, at Cot Do market (in Sam Son city), hundreds of people, units, restaurants, and businesses brought essential items such as instant noodles, milk, life jackets, bread, mineral water, pork floss, etc. to the gathering point to donate, with the amount of up to dozens of tons of goods.
Not only bringing donations, people also focused on sorting, packing into small bags to load onto vehicles, and transporting to flooded areas of Yen Bai province.
In addition to donating essential supplies, some businesses and restaurants in Thanh Hoa also do other meaningful things such as organizing free meals for all charity groups transporting relief goods to flood victims.
Vu Bao Thanh Hoa Restaurant (at km12, National Highway 47, Quang Hung Ward, Thanh Hoa City); Giong Restaurant (Lac Long Quan Street, Ngoc Trao Ward, Thanh Hoa City) have widely announced that the restaurant will "offer free meals" to all charity groups going to provide relief to people in the flood-hit areas in the North, if the groups have a schedule to stop and rest and eat in Thanh Hoa.
It is known that in addition to the above noble deeds and gestures, currently, many people, organizations and charity groups in Thanh Hoa province are continuing to carry out many other noble deeds and gestures to support flood victims in the northern provinces. Many charity groups even cook banh chung, pack and load goods overnight to be able to put them on charity buses, one after another to flood victims who are facing many difficulties.
