Typically, on September 10, people of Ngoc Cham village (Thang Long commune, Nong Cong district) joined hands to donate and support the cost of wrapping 700 banh chung, hundreds of boxes of instant noodles and milk to send to people in the flood-hit areas in the North.
As the person who called for support, Mr. Tran Xuan Tien (33 years old, in Thang Long commune, Nong Cong district) said that after watching the media and seeing that the northern provinces were suffering a lot of damage after storm No. 1, he and the people in Ngoc Cham village launched a campaign to call for support.
“We realized that people in the flooded areas were lacking food, water and many other necessities. So, everyone agreed to make banh chung and donate some other essential items, with the hope that people would ease their immediate difficulties and soon overcome this difficult period,” Tien shared.
According to Mr. Tien, on the afternoon of September 11, his group's supplies are expected to be transported to Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province to join hands to support the people there.
Similar to Mr. Tien's group, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (a trader at Minh Tho market, Minh Tho commune, Nong Cong district) said that in recent days, the women in the market watched the news about the damage caused by floods in the northern provinces and were heartbroken. Immediately after that, she and everyone called for support for people in the flooded areas.
“The appeal was then responded to by everyone, just a few hours later, tons of necessities such as mineral water, fresh milk, cakes, dry food... were donated. It is expected that on September 11, the relief convoy of Minh Tho market traders will set off for the beloved people of the Northern provinces,” Ms. Hien shared.
It is known that currently, many groups, collectives and individuals in Thanh Hoa province have also called for and contributed to join hands with the people of the Northern provinces, who are experiencing and suffering a lot of damage, loss and pain after storm No. 3.
