Ms. Pham Thi Han - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Binh province read a letter calling for support for people in the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Ms. Han said that in recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi), the northern provinces and cities have suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods; many people have died and gone missing; houses and property of the people and the State have been severely damaged; infrastructure has been seriously damaged... Currently, many places are being cut off, many residential areas are isolated.
“Quang Binh has gone through long days and nights of pouring rain, floods on floods, storms on storms, so we understand the difficulties and hardships of the people in the areas where storms and floods have passed, the consequences left behind are immeasurable…
Promoting the tradition of great national solidarity, the spirit of "Mutual love and support" and the morality of "Love others as you love yourself", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Binh province calls on cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, people from all walks of life, agencies, units, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to join hands to share and support people in areas affected by storms and floods" - Ms. Han said.
At the ceremony, the Party Committee, Government and People of Quang Binh province donated 2.5 billion VND to help people in the northern provinces overcome the consequences of floods caused by storm No. 3. In addition, units, organizations and businesses in the province also donated 2.2 billion VND. The total amount of donations was 4.7 billion VND.
Also at the launching ceremony, officials, civil servants, employees, workers, armed forces... supported people in the northern provinces.
All contributions will be collected by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and sent to the people in the North as soon as possible to help them stabilize their lives soon.
