On September 28, Quy Nhon Nam Ward Police (Gia Lai Province) received a rare pangolin voluntarily handed over by Mr. Nguyen Thien Quang (born in 1998, temporarily residing in Quy Nhon Nam Ward).
Earlier, at around 2am the same day, Mr. Quang discovered a group of young men carrying a pangolin to sell. Knowing that this was an endangered, precious, and rare wild animal, Mr. Quang spent 1 million VND to buy it and then brought it to hand it over to the police.

This pangolin has the scientific name Manis javanica, belonging to Group IB in the List of endangered, precious, and rare species prioritized for protection. This is an animal that is at risk of extinction, strictly prohibiting all acts of hunting, trading, transportation and consumption in any form.
Mr. Quang's responsible actions contribute to protecting wildlife, while spreading a positive message about awareness of biodiversity protection. This is a commendable example that needs to be replicated in the community.
