On September 27, the Gia Lai Provincial Civil Defense Command directed functional units and localities to urgently call on ships operating at sea to escape the danger zone of storm Bualoi (storm No. 10).
By the morning of the same day, the whole province had 141 fishing vessels in the danger zone in the next 24 hours. These ships are located in the communes and wards: Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon Dong, Hoai Nhon Tay, Hoai Nhon Bac, Quy Nhon, Cat Tien, Tam Quan, De Gi, Phu My Dong.
The Provincial Civil Defense Command requested the Provincial Military Command and local authorities to urgently guide and call on ships to escape from the danger zone and seek safe shelter.
Faced with the complicated developments of the storm, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province has directed relevant departments, branches, units and localities to proactively deploy response plans.
For the sea route, the province requires closely monitoring the storm's developments, strictly managing vehicles going out to sea; organizing counting, notifying captains and ship owners to clearly understand the location, direction of movement and storm developments to proactively prevent them.
Deploy measures to ensure safety for fishermen, vehicles, aquaculture facilities, tourist attractions, coastal works, and islands; at the same time, prepare rescue forces and means when required.
For land, the province requires increased monitoring of heavy rain, floods, flash floods, and landslides; timely and complete information to people and local authorities to proactively evacuate from dangerous areas, deep floods, and fast-flowing water.
The authorities must organize guarding and control traffic at culverts, spillways, flooded areas, and landslides; resolutely not allowing people and vehicles to pass through if safety is not ensured, avoiding unfortunate damage.
Along with that, departments, branches and localities in the province have urgently inspected and reviewed agricultural production, ensuring the safety of reservoirs. Statistics on the morning of September 27 showed that the eastern part of the province has 164 reservoirs with a total capacity of 188.04/675.96 million m3, reaching 28% of the design, including 60 dry reservoirs; the western part of the province has 119 reservoirs, with a total capacity of 416.25/600 million m3, reaching 69% of the design, with basically stable water resources.
