Binh Son Commune Police, Quang Ngai province said that at midnight on January 27, Mr. Ho Van Nghi (born 1998), an employee of a phone store at house number 135 Pham Van Dong, hamlet 6, Binh Son commune, suddenly discovered that his bank account received nearly 420 million VND from an unknown account.
With a spirit of honesty, Mr. Ho Van Nghi proactively went to Binh Son Commune Police to report the incident. Through coordination and verification, the police force determined that this was the money transferred by the account holder, Mr. Tran Tien Luong (born 1972), residing in Cua Lo ward, Nghe An province, by mistake.
After being instructed and completing the procedures according to regulations, Mr. Ho Van Nghi transferred and returned the full amount to Mr. Luong in the presence of functional agencies.
Receiving the wrongly transferred money back, Mr. Tran Tien Luong wrote a letter thanking the responsibility of Binh Son Commune Police and Mr. Nghi's honest gesture.
