On June 15, a task force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police led by Captain Tran Van Sang as Team Leader performed patrol and control duties on Tran Nhat Duat street, Hoan Kiem ward.
At about 7:10 am on the same day, while on duty, the task force discovered an old woman walking with a cane in the area leading to Long Bien bridge with signs of fatigue and unstable spirits. Realizing that she might be having difficulties, officers in the task force quickly approached to inquire and encourage her.
Through contact, functional forces determined that the old woman showed signs of being lost, not remembering the address of her residence as well as the information of her relatives. The working group took her to the unit headquarters for rest and health care, and at the same time deployed measures to verify her identity and search for her family members.
After a period of review and comparison from the meager information provided by the old woman, the working group identified that the old woman's name was L.T. T. N (born in 1946, residing in Nghia Do ward). However, at the time of contact, only her husband, who is 86 years old this year, was at home.
According to Mr. P.S.H - son of Ms. L.T. T. N, on the morning of the same day, the family did not see her at home and organized searches in many places but without results. When they received a call from the traffic police force, the family realized that she had strayed to Hoan Kiem ward.
Moved by the spirit of responsibility and dedication of traffic police officers and soldiers, the family sent a thank-you letter to the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police. In the letter, the family expressed their appreciation for the humane and timely action of helping people by the traffic police force.
The actions of officers and soldiers of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 continue to spread the beautiful image of a brave, humane, close to the people, respectful of the people and wholeheartedly serving the people police officer.
