On November 14, Quang Binh Provincial Police said they had just received a letter of thanks for 3 police officers who donated blood to save the relative of Mr. Tran Manh Hung (residing in Tan Ly, Minh Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province).
The above officers are members of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Live Blood Bank Club.
Previously, on October 30, Ms. Cao Thi Hong Quyen (Mr. Hung’s wife) was undergoing surgery at the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital. Due to heavy blood loss, the doctors informed the family that she needed an urgent blood and platelet transfusion.
As soon as receiving information about a critical case needing blood support, the Youth Union of Quang Binh Provincial Police mobilized members of the Live Blood Bank Club to donate blood.
Three people, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Trung Duc; Corporal Nguyen Ngoc Phong Nha and Corporal Ha Van Hieu, who are working at the Detention Center (Provincial Police) were present at the hospital and directly donated blood, helping the patient overcome the critical condition.
Touched and grateful for the meaningful actions of the officers, Mr. Hung, on behalf of his family, wrote a letter to them, as well as the Live Blood Bank Club - Quang Binh Police and the Quang Binh Provincial Police force.
