On October 13, 2024, the Trade Union of Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone coordinated with the Trade Union of Minh Anh Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company to organize the program "Voluntary Blood Donation Day" for workers in industrial parks in the province.
With the message "Donate blood with love", the program attracted more than 200 workers, union members, and union officials to register and donate 157 units of blood.
Having donated blood many times, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Nga - Minh Anh Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company quickly registered as soon as the unit launched the program.
“The previous times I donated blood were all organized by the higher-level Trade Union. However, when I had the opportunity to donate blood at my unit, we felt very convenient, because we could perform this meaningful action with our colleagues. This has created a humane and good spirit right at our workplace,” Ms. Thuy Nga shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huyen, a worker at VSIP Nghe An Company Limited, hopes to participate in donating blood this time to send drops of red blood to the patients waiting.
“Donating blood makes me feel happy because I have contributed to helping patients overcome critical conditions,” said Ms. Thanh Huyen.
Mr. Phan Dinh Tai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Minh Anh Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company shared: "Donating blood is a very meaningful thing and also an opportunity for me to have regular health check-ups. I will promote and mobilize the workers in the company and their family members to participate."
Chairwoman of the Trade Union of the Southeast Economic Zone of Nghe An, Hoang Thi Thu Huong, said that the voluntary blood donation movement has become an annual activity of the Trade Union of the Southeast Economic Zone for many years.
“This program is increasingly spreading and attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate. The Dong Nam Economic Zone Trade Union has directed its affiliated grassroots trade unions to organize voluntary blood donation days at their units.
"It is a journey to make life more meaningful because blood from the heart will flow to the heart, spreading love, multiplying the seeds of kindness" - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Southeast Economic Zone said.
Previously, following the direction of the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union, the Trade Union of Gaiwach Vietnam International Apparel Co., Ltd. organized a voluntary blood donation program at the unit, with 200 workers participating and donating 162 units of blood.
