On June 7, information from the People's Committee of Khanh Khe commune, Van Quan district said that a newborn baby boy had just been abandoned in the area.
Accordingly, at around 10:20 p.m. on June 6, people in Khau Rang village, Khanh Khe commune discovered a newborn baby boy abandoned on the side of the road, placed in a plastic bag with some items such as clothes, diapers, milk and a handwritten letter.
Immediately after receiving the information, Khanh Khe Commune Police quickly arrived at the scene, made a record of the incident and took the child to the Commune Health Station for care.
The boy weighed about 3kg, is estimated to be 2 days old, and is in stable health.
Notably, the bag included a handwritten piece of birth certificate and a short but emotional message " let me meet you, my family".
Currently, Khanh Khe Commune People's Committee has carried out procedures according to regulations, temporarily handing over the baby to the Commune Health Station for care while waiting for verification and finding relatives.
Local authorities also call on anyone who is a relative of the child or has related information to contact him as soon as possible to ensure the legitimate rights of the child.
