The last time lightning hit was on June 15, 2022, causing a large rock to collapse. Faced with this situation, at the end of 2023, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province organized a scientific workshop to assess the current situation and propose solutions to preserve Hon Vong Phu relic.
At the workshop, many experts and scientists consulted to choose the most optimal and feasible conservation solution.
By mid-2024, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City had invested in a lightning protection system at Hon Vong Phu relic, with a total cost of more than 800 million VND.
