    Dien Bien - After more than 70 years of resting under the motherland, identifying and returning the names of heroic martyrs is a difficult journey.

    Về công tác tìm kiếm, đến nay, các đội đã tổ chức khảo sát, xác minh tại nhiều địa điểm có manh mối từ các nhân chứng và các tư liệu được người dân cung cấp. Trong đó đã tìm kiếm, quy tập được 2 hài cốt liệt sĩ tại bản Lồng, xã Quài Tở đưa về an táng tại Nghĩa trang liệt sĩ Độc Lập.

    Đối với công tác lấy mẫu giám định ADN, tỉnh đã thành lập 1 tổ công tác và 6 đội lấy mẫu, triển khai tại 7 nghĩa trang liệt sĩ với 4.594 phần mộ chưa xác định danh tính.

    Đến nay, đã hoàn thành lấy mẫu tại 4/7 nghĩa trang, khai quật 2.091 phần mộ (đạt 45,5% kế hoạch), thu được 1.928 mẫu sinh phẩm đủ điều kiện phục vụ giám định ADN, trong đó 1.822 mẫu đã được bàn giao cho Viện Pháp y Quân đội.

    Mục tiêu đề ra là việc lấy mẫu tại tất cả các nghĩa trang liệt sĩ phải hoàn thành trước ngày 22.12.2026 nên áp lực công việc của các tổ là rất lớn.

    Đại tá Vương Đình Hòa - Chính ủy Bộ CHQS tỉnh Điện Biên cho biết, do các ngôi mộ đã được chôn cất từ hơn 70 năm trước và các nghĩa trang cũng đã trải qua nhiều lần tôn tạo nên việc lấy mẫu ADN gặp không ít khó khăn.

    “Có những bộ hài cốt nằm ở độ sâu hơn 1,5m, thậm chí có nơi sâu gần 3m dưới lòng đất. Trong khi khoảng cách giữa các ngôi mộ lại rất gần nhau nên hầu hết các công đoạn các cán bộ chiến sĩ phải trực tiếp làm bằng tay, không thể dùng máy móc hiện đại” -

    Cũng theo Đại tá Vương Đình Hòa, mỗi ngôi mộ sau khi được khai quật mà không đủ điều kiện để lấy mẫu thì các cán bộ, chiến sĩ trực tiếp tham gia cũng rất buồn. Nhưng mỗi khi lấy được mẫu ADN là lại có thêm một hy vọng để xác định tên tuổi, tìm lại thân nhân và đưa liệt sĩ về với gia đình.
