Under unusual sunny and rainy weather, the Thuan An coastal erosion treatment site (Hue City) still maintains many construction fronts. Workers and machinery are continuously operating to take advantage of favorable weather, speeding up items before the peak of the rainy and storm season.
Sau thời gian khởi công, tuyến kè bảo vệ bờ dài 670m đã dần định hình. Theo Ban Quản lý dự án Đầu tư xây dựng công trình nông nghiệp và phát triển nông thôn TP Huế, khối lượng thực hiện hiện đạt khoảng 30% hợp đồng, với các hạng mục được triển khai đồng thời trên công trường.
After a period of construction, the 670m long embankment protection line has gradually taken shape. According to the Hue City Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board, the actual volume reached about 30% of the contract, with items being deployed simultaneously at the construction site.

According to Mr. Le Van Man, Head of the Technical Department of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Works of Hue City, the unit is arranging about 50-70 workers along with more than 10 excavators, dump trucks and specialized equipment to serve construction.
According to Mr. Le Van Man, construction at sea depends heavily on weather conditions. Therefore, when the sea is calm, units focus manpower and vehicles to deploy tasks with high requirements for construction conditions, limiting the time to temporarily stop.

For many years, every rainy and storm season, people along the coast of Thuan An have faced the risk of large waves continuing to penetrate deep into the shore. According to the leader of Thuan An Ward People's Committee, the erosion situation in recent years has become complicated, including the impact of climate change and extreme weather.

The coastal erosion treatment project passing through Thuan An ward has a total investment of 260 billion VND, invested by the Hue City Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project started on June 20, 2026, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

The project includes 2 underground dike sections to reduce waves, each section is 365m long, placed 125m apart and about 250-300m from the shore; 670m long shore protection embankment; 250m long geotechnical pipe welding mine along with connecting roads, signal buoys and auxiliary items.

The main objective of the project is to reduce wave energy, limit erosion, stabilize the shoreline, protect the residential area and coastal infrastructure of Thuan An, and create conditions for tourism and service development in the area.
