    An Giang - About 1,300 free meals/day given to people in difficult circumstances have been maintained for many years by Thien Tam 0 VND vegetarian restaurant.

    Đều đặn mỗi ngày, bà Nguyễn Thị Rơi (64 tuổi) làm nghề bán vé số trên địa bàn phường Rạch Giá (An Giang) lại rong ruổi khắp ngã đường mưu sinh trên chiếc xe lắc.
    Regularly every day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Roi (64 years old) who works as a lottery ticket seller in Rach Gia ward (An Giang) roams all over the streets to earn a living on a scooter.
    Cũng như nhiều người khác, bà Rơi đến Quán chay 0 đồng Thiện Tâm, số 124, Nguyễn Hùng Sơn để nhận phần quà và suất ăn miễn phí.

    “Tôi ở trọ cùng người em đi làm mướn, lụm ve chai, còn đứa cháu thì đi phụ việc. Mỗi tháng nhà trọ, điện nước khoảng 1,5 triệu đồng mà thu nhập ít ỏi lại bấp bênh, lúc bán được lúc ế. Hôm nay đến nhận quà thấy mừng lắm, suất ăn miễn phí cũng ngon và đa dạng. Ở đây nấu cơm cho dân nghèo ăn miễn phí như vậy chúng tôi cảm ơn rất nhiều, đỡ được chi phí sinh hoạt lắm”, bà Rơi bày tỏ.
    “I rent a room with my younger brother who works as a hired laborer, collects scrap metal, and my nephew works as a helper. Each month, the rent, electricity and water costs about 1.5 million VND, but the meager income is precarious, sometimes selling well, sometimes unsold. Today, when I came to receive gifts, I was very happy, the free meals are also delicious and diverse. Here, we cook rice for poor people to eat for free, we thank you very much, it saves a lot of living expenses,” Ms. Roi expressed.
    Chị Nguyễn Thúy Hằng - Chi hội trưởng Hội từ thiện Tấn Tài, Trưởng ban Điều hành bếp ăn cho biết, quán chay 0 đồng có 3 điểm hoạt động, cung cấp khoảng 1.300 suất ăn/ngày; tại cơ sở mới này sẽ hỗ trợ khoảng 800 - 1.000 suất ăn/ngày (đều đặn vào 3 ngày trong tuần). Nguồn kinh phí hoạt động do các mạnh thường quân góp sức duy trì, các tiểu thương đóng góp rau, củ, quả, gạo…

Chúng tôi đóng góp trên tinh thần tự nguyện, tùy khả năng, ai giúp được gì thì giúp. Mọi người vui vẻ với nhau, từng ánh mắt, nụ cười ấm nghĩa tình, làm việc không còn thấy mệt nữa”.
