Overview of the construction of a project worth nearly VND1,400 billion in Hai Phong

The investment project to build a road from Provincial Road 354, Tien Lang District to National Highway 10, Vinh Bao District was decided by the City People's Council in Resolution No. 62/NQ-HDND dated October 19, 2022. The total investment of the project is nearly 1,383 billion VND from the city budget, implemented from 2022 to 2026.

The project's goal is to create a new route connecting National Highway 10 to the city center and in the future connecting National Highway 37; connecting National Highway 10 and Provincial Road 354 with industrial parks in Tien Lang district, especially Tien Thanh Industrial Park.

The project is also expected to contribute to the completion of the infrastructure system for transportation in Vinh Bao district, Tien Lang district and the transportation network connecting the urban area with the countryside in the southeastern area of Hai Phong connecting with the coastal area of Thai Binh province...

The project investment scale includes the construction of a road from Provincial Road 354, Tien Lang District to National Highway 10, Vinh Bao District, about 8.1 km long, with a roadbed width of 22.5 m; the construction of a new Tien Thanh bridge over the Thai Binh River with concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete with a length of 437.8 m; a reinforced concrete bridge over the 40 m long agricultural canal, the construction of resettlement infrastructure in Vinh An Commune, Vinh Bao District, with an area of about 0.77 ha and many other items.

According to the report of the Hai Phong Traffic and Rural Construction Investment Project Management Board, up to now, package No. 19, the construction of Tien Thanh Bridge and the road connecting to National Highway 10, has reached 72% of the progress. The contractor has completed the construction of abutments, bridge piers and box retaining walls, box culverts behind the abutments; completed the pressing of 35x35 reinforced concrete piles, completed the casting of SuperT beams. Currently, contractors are continuously casting girder canals, bridge deck, constructing roadbed on the Vinh Bao side, constructing cement piles, soil..., box culverts, round culverts, ditch improvements, resettlement areas.

Currently, there are nearly 100 workers at the construction site, working 3 shifts a day and night to ensure the project's progress. Tien Thanh Bridge is expected to be closed on May 13, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day.

In package No. 18 for the construction of a road connecting DT354 to Tien Thanh bridge, up to now, the contractor consortium has carried out roadbed excavation, technical fabric filling, sand filling, soil cement piles, box culverts, bored piles for the Trung Hoa Nong bridge... The estimated volume of work has reached 12.6% of the contract value excluding provisions.

Regarding site clearance, currently, the total reclaimed area is 29.88ha, involving about 804 households and organizations. Up to now, Vinh Bao district has completed, Tien Lang district has only handed over 18.1/19.81 hectares. A representative of the Project Management Board said that to ensure the construction progress, the unit has issued a document requesting the People's Committee of Tien Lang district to soon complete site clearance and carry out the relocation of power lines within the project area.
