The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project was approved by the National Assembly in accordance with Resolution (No. 138/2024/QH15) on June 28, 2024. The project is 128.8km long. Of which, the section passing through Dak Nong is 27.8km long, and the section passing through Binh Phuoc is 101km long.
The total investment of Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project is initially 25,540 billion VND. State capital participation is 12,770 billion VND and investor capital is 12,770 billion VND.
According to Chief of Office of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Nhan Ban, the locality has deployed and coordinated with relevant departments and branches of Binh Phuoc province to complete the signing of an agreement with the investor of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) Expressway Project.
To date, the investor has hired consultants to design, establish the project and evaluate its effectiveness and feasibility. However, through the design implementation process, it has been shown that the first section of the project has about 15km passing through a complex area.
Including the Alumina Factory complex and 2 industrial parks. The consulting team is proposing 3 design options through this section to seek opinions from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Once the design plan is agreed upon, Dak R'lap district will have a basis to carry out site clearance work.
Regarding this issue, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Council Luu Van Trung said that the resolution on the Expressway Project has been approved by the National Assembly for implementation.
Therefore, Mr. Luu Van Trung suggested that departments, branches and localities need to focus on removing obstacles with a determined spirit to ensure the project's commencement time.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province Ngo Thanh Danh shared that the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project was approved for investment, creating new space and development momentum for the province and the entire Central Highlands region.
"Therefore, the locality is determined to carry out the project according to the approved roadmap," Mr. Ngo Thanh Danh emphasized.
For the capital to implement the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project, Dak Nong province will contribute 1,000 billion VND.
In 2024, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has allocated 225 billion VND. This shows the high determination of Dak Nong province for the project to be implemented soon.
