Lam Dong terminates 126.6 billion VND sports project in Bao Loc

LAM HỒNG |

Lam Dong - The project investor left the plan on paper, leaving the land fallow, causing waste.

On March 19, information from Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the unit had terminated the operation of the Than Khuc Sports Service Center Project of Than Khuc Company Limited in Ward 1, Bao Loc City due to violations of land laws.

The project has a total investment of more than 126.6 billion VND, with a scale of more than 2 hectares. According to Decision No. 286/QD-UBND dated February 13, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee assigned Than Khuc Company Limited to lease 20,881m2 of land in plots 23 and 24 (map sheet No. 21, Ward 1, Bao Loc city).

The purpose of the land allocation is to build a swimming pool area, a 3-star hotel (100 beds), a parking lot and auxiliary works.

However, after being allocated land in the center of Bao Loc city, the enterprise did not implement the project, leaving the land fallow for more than 24 months, violating land use regulations.

Currently, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to carry out the procedures for terminating the project according to regulations, and at the same time requested the People's Committee of Bao Loc city to strengthen land management and construction order in the area.
