On April 12, according to the reporter's source, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province has just issued a Decision approving the adjustment of the land use planning of Cao Bang city until 2030.
This is an important step to concretize the urban development orientation, socio-economic development and ensure effective and sustainable land management and use in the spirit of the 2024 Land Law.
According to the adjusted plan, by 2030, the total agricultural land area of the city will be about 7,496 hectares, a decrease of nearly 605 hectares compared to the current status in 2023.
Of which, rice land has decreased sharply from 1,043 hectares to 896 hectares; land for growing perennial crops has decreased by more than 263 hectares; production forest land has decreased slightly, but still accounts for the largest proportion in the agricultural land group.
In contrast, the non-agricultural land group has been significantly expanded, increasing from 2,493 hectares to 3,130 hectares, equivalent to 29.22% of the total land area of the city.
Notably, urban land has increased to nearly 500 hectares; public works such as transportation, education, healthcare, culture, sports... have all been adjusted to increase in accordance with the speed of urbanization and the needs of the people.
One of the highlights in the plan is the expansion of non-agricultural production and business land, from the current 699ha to more than 854ha by 2030.
The city plans to form more industrial parks and clusters with an area of about 135 hectares; commercial and service land is also planned to increase nearly 13 times, reaching more than 165 hectares.
In addition, land used for public purposes has increased to more than 920 hectares, serving traffic works, public lighting, waste treatment, renewable energy, etc. This is the basis for the city to aim for sustainable development, ensuring a quality living environment for people.
According to statistics, the city will reclaim nearly 990 hectares of land in this planning period, of which more than 826 hectares are agricultural land. Most of this area will be converted to non-agricultural purposes to serve infrastructure development projects, residential areas, production and business.
The total area of land use conversion is expected to be 823 hectares, mainly converted from rice-growing land, production forest land and perennial crop land to residential land, land for construction of public works and land for production and business.
The Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Cao Bang City to publicly announce the adjusted planning; at the same time, strictly organize the implementation of land recovery, land allocation, land lease, and land use purpose conversion in accordance with regulations.
Regular inspection, supervision and reporting on the implementation of the plan have also been set up to ensure publicity, transparency and efficiency.
