On December 4, the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province said that it had sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee to advise and propose content related to the new Administrative - Political Center of Lam Dong province.
Previously, the Department was assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and related units to review the planning, study investment, and build a new administrative - political center of the province, with a deadline for submission to the Provincial People's Committee in November 2025.
According to the Department of Construction, this is a task of special importance to the new Lam Dong province after the merger of 3 old provinces: Binh Thuan - Lam Dong - Dak Nong.
Consulting must be very cautious and takes a lot of time to review, survey, synthesize research, analyze, and evaluate planning, investment and construction potential of each specific area. From there, the Department of Construction has a basis to propose the most convincing, optimal and effective plan.

For this reason, the Department of Construction proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allow an extension of the consultation period to December 2025. At the same time, it is proposed to select a consulting unit to support the research to ensure objectivity.
Previously, on November 14, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested the Department of Construction to promptly advise on the location of the new Administrative - Political Center.
In particular, it is noted that the location must have room for development, creating momentum to expand urban space, develop trade, services, tourism, high technology and conveniently connect with economic and scientific centers of the region and the country. The consultation period is set for November 2025.
After this document, local public opinion is especially interested in information about the location of the new Administrative - Political Center. However, up to now, the Department of Construction has issued a document requesting an extension to ensure reasonable advice and proposals when submitting to the Provincial People's Committee.
