On October 25, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province said that the unit had proposed to the Provincial People's Committee the locations to build the Provincial Administrative Center in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.
According to the Department of Construction, the proposal for the planning location of the Administrative Center in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone is in accordance with regulations, as a basis for updating in the step of preparing the general planning project. Specific items and areas of the project will be determined at the project design stage, ensuring consistency with planning levels.

Through research on the Phuong Mai peninsula area (Quy Nhon Dong ward), the interdisciplinary (including the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board) has proposed to the Provincial People's Committee 3 locations for building administrative areas.
Option 1 is a strip of land along Thi Nai lagoon (west of the Western specialized road), with a scale of about 50 hectares. Location with convenient traffic connection, near the center of Quy Nhon, open space towards Thi Nai lagoon.
However, the land is narrow, stretching in the North - South direction, with no depth of construction. The East is adjacent to the production areas of Industrial Park (IP) A, which is not suitable for the nature of the Administrative Center. The planning area has low terrain, weak geology, and high construction costs.
Option 2 is the converted land in Urban Area C (Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Area C), with a scale of about 50 hectares. This is the central location of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, with a main view of Thi Nai lagoon and the Western Gia Lai area, the back of Phuong Mai Mountain, near Nhon Ly sea and large tourist areas and urban areas. The land has a favorable elevation, has been leveled, and has good traffic connections, near Phu Cat airport, the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway and the North - South expressway.
However, this area was previously assigned to the investor of Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Infrastructure - Area C.
Option 3 is the converted land in Urban Area A (Zone 4, Nhon Hoi Economic Zone), with a scale of about 50 hectares. This location has been leveled, and the cost of infrastructure investment is low.
However, the land is located between production areas, the main direction makes it difficult to open Thi Nai lagoon space, affecting the landscape and environment. Previously, this land was also assigned to the investor to do business in the infrastructure of Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Area A.
After consideration, the interdisciplinary team found that option 2 is most suitable for the nature of building the Gia Lai Provincial Administrative Center Area.
"Currently, it is only at the proposal stage, the province is still meeting to discuss and consider options to agree on a choice. People should not rush to buy land "first hand" in the proposed areas, to avoid risks and unnecessary damage", the leader of the Department of Construction recommended.
