Culture is a soft power, an endogenous strength of every country and nation. In the current era of strong technological development and international integration, helping children understand and appreciate traditional cultural values becomes more important than ever.
With a simple, easy-to-understand literary style and attractive storytelling style, the book series has now published 10 volumes, each volume is a vivid cut of the history of formation and development and unique process of each craft village such as: Making Do paper, making pottery, bronze casting, making silk, making drums...
With the goal of reaching young people, Kim Dong Publishing House has coordinated with a team of authors and artists to invest in illustrations and pages of books with vivid color paintings, bearing the mark of traditional culture but still youthful, close to primary school age. In particular, the journey of little An - the main character in each episode - helps young readers easily sympathize and learn through their trips to explore all over the country.

Not only a collection of feature paintings, Vang danh an ancient craft is also a set of intuitive educational tools, contributing to helping students realize the importance of craft village culture in modern life, and contributing to preserving national identity. Through each page of the book, children will understand that preserving ancient crafts is not only a way to make a living, but also a treasure trove of history, aesthetics and Vietnamese spirit.
On the occasion of celebrating Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025, Kim Dong Publishing House in collaboration with the Nha Minh Book Project organized a launching exchange for "Vang danh an ancient craft - Explore traditional craft villages of Vietnam" taking place at 3:00 p.m. on April 19 at Hanoi Book Street.
The program was attended by the author Phuong Bui, Thanh Nguyen, the artist group Ngart and BTV Kim Dung.
