"The Story of the Sun" is the first work that author Ngoc Tran released in the novel genre, after the success of the short story collection " Tomorrow may be the next life" released in 2021.

"The Story of the Sun" begins with the immature footsteps of Ngoan - an innocent girl from the countryside who went far away for the first time with the person she loves - and then from a simple dream falls straight into a ton of tragedy in the world when she was tricked into being sold as a commodity in a foreign land. The journey of the character Ngoan, from bright light to dark, is a story that is both private and symbolic for the lives of people oppressed in adversity.

"The Story of the Sun" is truly haunting when depicting the fate of rural women in the fierce flow of contemporary society. According to the author, "The Story of the Sun" is inspired by many stories I experienced in my childhood, with those who were lost in their hometown and those who were concerned and concerned about the fate of their neighbors, who had long since lost their faces. Therefore, there are many real stories, real pain hidden in every word, easily touching the hearts of readers.

The story conveys a simple message that not everyone can easily understand and implement: In this life, do not hope for heating in the light borrowed from others. A strong person is someone who, no matter the circumstances, does not let others steal his light, immersing himself in the darkness of hatred. Let your heart and goodness be the sunlight shining on your life. Is there anyone who is not wrong in this life? If you can keep your light, you have a way to return.

The writing style of author Ngoc Tran is both rustic, rich in life details, and sharp in depicting the character's psychology, creating a familiar and painful atmosphere. The character is portrayed in depth, from Ngoan, Ngoan, to other rural women... the pain that each woman is carrying within her as a separate tragedy, contributing to the arrangement of a deep but humane identity.

Editor Mai Hue (Dong Tay Bookstore) shared: When I was assigned to edit Ngoc Trans stories, I sat silently and wiped away my tears. The thing I felt most determined about after re-ening the book The Story of the Sun was not love but family affection. In fact, with the experience of an editor (even if I don't read much of the detective), I also have a basic understanding of how the story will develop later, just waiting for the author's advice. It is truly attractive and tight. My colleagues reviewed Morat and I after reading it for the first time and had to exclaim: Is this author a journalist and does not write stories that she has written, with many details but too much logic.

Ngoc Tran's novel is only about 200 pages but has many twists, rapid developments, a thick plot atmosphere, sometimes difficult to breathe, but the ending opens up many bright spots, filled with sunlight, giving people faith in light, in goodness in life.

The Story of the Sun is not only a story about a girl, but also a story about the fate of weak women, about the light that is often extinguished before it can shine. With a tight storytelling art, flexible literature and imbued with humanistic inspiration, the work will certainly leave a lasting impression on readers.

Ngoc Tran was a journalist with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of culture and entertainment. In addition to her first short story collection " Tomorrow may be the next life" (2021), she had a work that won 3 prizes in the Tu Trong Kyuc contest of Lao Dong newspaper, published in the collection of the same name, the work was selected for the short story collection Canh chim Tu Do by the non-government organization CSAGA, short stories, poems published in Vietnamese Arts, Ho Chi Minh City Arts, Women in the Capital...
