On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), celebrating the 13th National Youth Union Congress, the Youth Bookcase of Kim Dong Publishing House will introduce 12 books of many genres from novels, diaries, memoirs, to celebrity books... including domestic and foreign books.
Participating in the Youth Bookcase are massive, famous novels written about the resistance war against the US for national salvation, namely: "Footprints of Soldiers" (author Nguyen Minh Chau), "Man and Me" (Phan Tu) and "Below the Cloud of Buckwheat Color" (Thu Bon). These are typical novels on the theme of war and the image of Vietnamese soldiers, considered bedside books of Vietnamese youth in the 70s of the 20th century.
Novels written in the battlefield, in the fierce fighting where the writer lives side by side, fights with soldiers and people. The pages of writing imbued with love for the homeland and country of ordinary boys and girls, in the harsh circumstances of war, have become heroes, ideal role models, and role models for the younger generation to follow.
Along with domestic works, the Youth Bookcase introduces famous works written about world great men that many young people admire such as: "The Road to Freedom" is the story of Booker T. Washington, who strived to study and work to become an influential person and convince black slaves to understand that education is the only way to freedom and progress...; "Iron is so tempered" recreates the life of Pavel Korchagin, a staunch Soviet youth with the saying that has become the motto of many generations of young people: "The most precious thing in human beings is life. Human life only lives once. We must live in a way that we do not feel heartbroken and regretful for the years we have lived and wasted, to not be ashamed of our stingy and cowardly past so that when we close our eyes, we can say: All our lives, all our strength, we have dedicated to the noblest cause in the world, the cause of fighting to liberate humanity"...
12 books mark the beginning of the Youth Bookcase of Kim Dong Publishing House, helping young readers living in today's peacetime, to better understand the generations of fathers and brothers. At the same time, each story, each character brings great inspiration on the path of learning and growing up.

Responding to the movement "Each young man a book as a friend" launched by the Vietnam Youth Federation, at the launch ceremony of the Youth Bookcase on March 23, Kim Dong Publishing House donated 340 sets of books including publications in the Youth Bookcase to 34 Youth Union provinces and cities nationwide.
Kim Dong Publishing House hopes that the sets of books awarded today will contribute to forming bookshelves for Youth at Youth Union facilities nationwide, encouraging each young person to choose a suitable book for themselves to accompany, contributing to fostering knowledge, personality and positive lifestyle, affirming the role of books in developing thinking, creativity and self-learning ability of young people in the new era.
