Morning and the young painter

Việt Văn |

She is a young street painter, always painted with her hands and hair, but her eyes are as bright as car lights. Every morning, when the street was still sleepy, she pulled the paint bins out of the old alley, painted color on the walls, causing passersby to slow down for a few seconds, smiling. For her, the joy is very simple, just an old man nodding, or a child shouting "so beautiful!" is enough for the whole day.

Then one day, she was suddenly "discovered". An online art critic can turn an unknown artist into a online phenomenon after just one post, even a few status lines, by chance passing by the wall she is painting. He stopped, winked at the paintings from near and wide, then retreated with a very admiring face, exclaiming Oh My God, the colors are so brilliant that they are brilliant, the ideas soar into heaven. You are truly the new voice of street art!

Hearing those words, she paused a bit. Suddenly, a strange feeling arose in her heart, both a little shy and eager. She raised her head, intending to thank and say a little more about the idea of reflecting her modern post-urban spirit, making it more luxurious and trendy. But at that moment, the critic turned the tables. In the mold, her face was moved, in front of a brilliant wall. A few minutes later, the photo was posted online with flowing beautiful words.

The article spread quickly. Thousands of likes, hundreds of comments, everyone praised the critic for discovering "new talent" while she only saw her painting as a backdrop for others.

And the next day, the small alley suddenly crowded with people inviting each other to come to the alley she painted, not to see the paintings, but to check-in. Everyone laughed brightly and the majority raised their familiar V-shaped fingers to take photos, then "posted" them on social media.

As for her, standing next to the unfinished painting, she just watched silently. Not sad, not happy, it was as if someone had painted the last part of her painting with a color that she did not choose.

The next day, she woke up early. The city is still sleeping, the coffee shop at the end of the alley has not opened. She pulled out the paint job, held a mat and started painting the unfinished part. Do not create a trend, do not let it be called the voice of new art, just tell the story on this wall, in your own way.

The early morning sunlight leaped on the road, people trampled on the streets. A child passing by exclaimed, "The beautiful girl on the top". She smiled, then bowed down to paint, quietly and meticulously. She now does not need anyone to "discovery" or care too much about compliments and criticisms anymore, she only paints according to her true feelings.
