On November 5, Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh - Director of Bach Ma National Park (VQG) said that from the end of October to the beginning of November, this area will have extreme rain, with rainfall sometimes reaching 1,739.6mm.
Prolonged rain has caused many works and forest rangers to deteriorate and leak; stations located along the mountainside such as Thuong Lo and Bach Ma peak are at high risk of landslides due to aged soil.

The forest protection patrol route from National Highway 1A to Bach Ma peak was seriously eroded. At km 9+500, the low-lying slope is about 25m long; at km 12+00, the entire positive slope, stone embankment and road surface are sliding, the landslide area is 100m long, 30 - 50m deep, cutting the route, cutting the medium-voltage underground cable leading to Bach Ma peak.
The patrol route along the La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway was also eroded at many points, more than 10 locations across the stream were damaged, separating the two rangers Huong Loc and Mo Rang.
Faced with the dangerous situation, the National Park of Bach Ma has withdrawn all patrol forces from the forest, deployed safety measures, cleared sewers, stretched warning ropes, installed warning signs and temporarily stopped receiving visitors. After the heavy rain stops, the unit will check and assess the damage to report to the competent authority.
