These are "speaking numbers" representing millions of initiatives, with a profit value of over 40,000 billion VND across the country, mentioned at discussion sessions on the first working day of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
The common point of these initiatives is that they all originate from emulation movements launched by the Trade Union organization.
Emulation is no longer a slogan, but has become real initiatives and real values.
The core point of the movement launched by the Trade Union is to put workers in the center. In that achievement, Trade Unions at all levels have played a good role in inspiring. Each union member needs to see that their initiatives, no matter how small, are valuable. When workers are listened to, recognized and honored, they will have more motivation to contribute.
In the exchanges and presentations at the congress, many heartfelt opinions emphasized the role of the Trade Union in continuing to innovate thinking, determining that initiative and creativity activities must become an important component in the business development strategy, directly linked to the goal of improving labor productivity, optimizing costs and improving competitiveness.
In particular, the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" needs to aim to arouse the aspiration to rise up in each union member. Trade unions are also a bridge to promote businesses to build mechanisms to encourage creativity, which are concretized by policies on salaries, bonuses, benefits and promotion opportunities.
The 2026 - 2031 period sets out many new requirements, but also opens up great opportunities for the Vietnam Trade Union to affirm its role in arousing the spirit of creative labor, sense of responsibility and aspiration to rise up of tens of millions of union members and workers.
As General Secretary and President To Lam stated when meeting and talking with workers and laborers in Ho Chi Minh City on April 27: "Innovation is not something far-fetched. Innovation can start from a more reasonable operation, a more scientific chain arrangement, an idea that helps save time, reduce accidents, reduce hardship, and increase productivity. Those simple initiatives, if respected and replicated, will create great strength for businesses, for the economy and for the country.
The strength of the emulation movement starts from the strength of each ordinary, hardworking, creative worker who always yearns for a better life.
