Mr. Mai Manh Dung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation - JSC (VEAM), under the Vietnam Trade Union - said that the highlight is that the movements at the unit are all closely linked to production and business tasks, the goal of improving labor productivity and the requirements of digital transformation of enterprises.
Currently, the Trade Union of Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation - JSC (VEAM) has 24 member units with more than 15,497 employees, including 6 joint ventures with foreign investment capital including: Honda Vietnam, Toyota Vietnam, Ford Vietnam, Suzuki Vietnam, Auto Mekong and Viet Nhat Mechanical Company. This is a labor force directly involved in the fields of mechanical engineering, manufacturing - assembly of automobiles, motorbikes and supporting industries, which are industries facing great competitive pressure and have rapid technological innovation speed.
In FDI enterprises under VEAM, many modern management models such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, lean production management, chain automation and data digitization have been strongly implemented. Trade union organizations are not outside that process but proactively accompany businesses in propagating and mobilizing employees to participate in continuous improvements, optimize production processes and apply new technologies.

The results show that the movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor" has truly become a driving force to promote productivity, quality and business efficiency.
In 2025 alone, units in the VEAM bloc recorded over 100,000 technical innovation initiatives.
In which, Toyota Vietnam has more than 94,520 innovation initiatives, with a total reward value of over 4 billion VND; Honda Vietnam has 16,611 initiatives, total bonus of over 255 million VND; Ford Vietnam has 1,680 initiatives, with a profit value of nearly 2.3 billion VND...
VEAM Trade Union Chairman said that the country is entering a new development period with very high requirements for productivity, quality and competitiveness. In that process, the workforce continues to play a central role in production and innovation.
On the sidelines of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, Mr. Mai Manh Dung - Chairman of VEAM Trade Union - expressed his expectation that the Congress will propose breakthrough policies to further enhance the role of trade union organizations in the context of the country entering a new stage of development.
According to Mr. Mai Manh Dung, in the face of the requirement to increase labor productivity, promote digital transformation and improve national competitiveness, trade union organizations need to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, closely accompany businesses and workers.
I expect the Congress to continue to have specific orientations and mechanisms to encourage and spread the "Good Labor - Creative Labor" movement, creating a favorable environment for workers to promote initiatives, technical improvements, and master new technologies. With outstanding results from VEAM units, which recorded more than 100,000 initiatives in 2025, I believe that the emulation movement for good labor and creative labor will continue to become an important driving force to promote productivity growth, improve production and business efficiency and contribute to the implementation of the country's double-digit economic growth goal in the coming time" - Mr. Mai Manh Dung said.
