Trade union president has many initiatives to help workers and businesses
Mr. Nguyen Trong Kien - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of CPV Food Co., Ltd. (Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, Chon Thanh ward, Dong Nai city) - has many initiatives and improvements in labor production recognized by businesses for their profit value.
Notably, the initiative to build a "0-dong wardrobe" - Mr. Kien said: "Recognizing that the company has many employees in difficult circumstances, ethnic minorities who need supplies and clothes but do not have time to come to receive or have the opportunity to receive charity items. Therefore, the initiative to establish a "0-dong wardrobe" helps disadvantaged workers to access clothes, shoes and essential items without any expense. The result is that more than 2,300 products are shared monthly, 100% of employees know about the "0-dong wardrobe" and the form of use".
Because female workers account for 53% of personnel, mostly young union members, giving birth for the first time, Mr. Kien organized prenatal classes to equip knowledge about reproductive health care, nutrition, periodic gynecological examinations and self-monitoring of health.
Through the class, the Trade Union integrates and disseminates policies and laws to help female workers understand their rights to maternity benefits, rest hours, and allowances according to the Labor Code and the Law on Social Insurance; and at the same time guide suitable working posture for pregnant women in the production environment. The activity is organized periodically every year for nearly 200 female union members who are pregnant or intend to become pregnant.
In addition to the initiative to care for union members and workers, Mr. Kien also has an initiative to help benefit businesses such as the initiative "Implementing improvements to replace plastic drums with Jumbo bags" which was highly appreciated by the company's Board of Directors for its improvement results. Improvements were applied immediately and helped employees save working time; The initiative to implement "Improving waste to sell raw materials for animal feed" has helped save costs for businesses to date of more than 900 million VND...
Over the past 5 years, there have been more than half a million ideas and initiatives from workers.
According to the Dong Nai City Labor Federation, the emulation movement "good labor, creative labor" has attracted union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers to enthusiastically participate and contribute, contributing to improving the quality of goods, services, and labor productivity.
Notably, in the business sector, in the past 5 years, there have been 563,783 ideas, initiatives, designs, and tasks implemented by workers, benefiting businesses by over 1,000 billion VND.
In which, the collective Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd., TKG TaekwangVina Joint Stock Company, Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd., Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd., Precision Industry Joint Stock Company and many other businesses in the province have coordinated well with the Board of Directors to mobilize workers to promote initiatives and technical improvements, resulting in nearly 100,000 initiatives, designs, and tasks of workers benefiting businesses.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - shared that the company always encourages union members and employees to have many creative ideas and improvements in their work, thereby contributing to making tens of thousands of USD in profits for businesses. This shows that the level of Vietnamese workers is increasingly high, intelligent, and creative.
