In a letter to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, People's Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, veterans, former people's police officers, former youth volunteers, people participating in the resistance war and people with meritorious services to the country on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, General Secretary and President To Lam wrote: "Gratitude is a thousand-year morality of the Vietnamese nation, a political responsibility, an order from the heart and honor of every Vietnamese person. The most meaningful thing to remember those who have contributed and sacrificed is to continue to preserve the achievements of the revolution, build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism. That is the steadfast promise of today's generation to previous generations; so that the sacrifices and contributions of comrades and compatriots will forever shine in the sky of the Fatherland, guiding the Vietnamese nation to firmly step into a new era of development".
These days, gratitude and repayment activities taking place across the country have affirmed the good morality of "drinking water, remembering the source" of the nation. The words of the General Secretary and President also show the even higher responsibility of those living today, especially the majority of workers and young people.
Today's generation must turn gratitude into the ability to build the future. Young people need to study better, work more responsibly, and have greater aspirations. Cadres and party members must be devoted to the people, putting common interests above private interests. Each citizen must live decently, comply with the law, know how to share and contribute to the community.
Promises only have value when they become specific actions. Every project built, every initiative applied, every valuable product, every good deed created is a way to continue the career of our forefathers.
For the labor force, well implement the Party's resolutions, the Trade Union organization's resolutions and participate practically and effectively in the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" by self-learning, absorbing, applying and mastering technology to contribute to the overall achievement.
The country is rising in a new era, requiring great efforts from each individual, organization, and collective. That is also a way for us to show our moral responsibility to history, so that the promise of today's generation is forever solid in the face of the contributions and sacrifices for the Fatherland of the previous generation.
