This is not just a message, but also an urgent requirement for workers, laborers and trade union organizations. The question is what needs to be done to elevate the working class, commensurate with the requirements of the times?
This question has partly been answered at the Prime Minister's exchange and discussion program with delegates attending the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, which took place on the morning of June 5.
Representatives of trade union members and workers raised recommendations, questions, and hot issues. Government members and Politburo members, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung answered and answered each group of issues in a specific way. From the issue of improving national labor productivity from the perspective of workers, training, improving vocational skills, salaries, welfare, housing to taking care of workers' health... All were put on the table for frank, open and responsible dialogue.
Many issues that seemed like "bottlenecks" have seen a way to be removed. For example, the housing issue, when the Prime Minister informed: "The State can arrange to buy back social housing areas to make a basis for leasing. The Ministry of Finance and ministries and sectors are assigned to complete accompanying mechanisms and policies", many union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have housing needs, seemed to shed the burden of so long ago.
A more modern, braver, and creative working class as required by General Secretary and President To Lam must be formed from many factors. But there must be two basic factors. One is the awareness, aspiration to contribute, promote the spirit of self-study and innovation of the working class, of each worker. Two is the role of supporting and accompanying the political system with the timely guidelines and policies of the Party and State, the practical and effective activities of the Fatherland Front, the Trade Union organization and each enterprise.
Through the speeches of the Prime Minister, Government members and leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor at the program on the morning of June 5, it can be seen that: The working class has been, is and will continue to receive more resources for development.
The 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031, was a great success with the orientations and 6 tasks set out by General Secretary and President To Lam in the solemn session, along with practical opinions, contributing to removing the problems and difficulties of union members and workers from the Prime Minister and members of the Government.
The Congress Resolution set out many goals, striving targets, and important breakthroughs in the term. The fact that workers nationwide and the Trade Union organization continue to strive and make efforts to implement the Congress Resolution is also contributing to building a more modern, more courageous, and more creative working class as General Secretary and President To Lam has set out.
