Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: There is no other way, we must maintain high and sustainable growth continuously from now until 2045. Only then can we overcome the middle-income trap and rise up, achieve strategic goals, and fulfill aspirations in the new era".
The Prime Minister also noted that high growth must be sustainable, macroeconomic stability must still be maintained, inflation must be controlled, progress must be ensured, fairness, social security, protection of a clean and beautiful green living environment, without sacrificing progress, fairness, social security and the environment to pursue economic growth alone.
At the discussion on a number of draft laws held on February 13, General Secretary To Lam gave a speech, including talking about the purpose and significance of growth: "Improving the quality of life of people in all aspects is a measure of the effectiveness of the State, not simply measured by growth figures. People read newspapers, listen to radio, know a lot of information about growth with impressive numbers, but what people are interested in is what they can get from that growth. People do not want to "go on TV but receive" distant values, but want to touch, hold, and enjoy them with their own hands.
Patients come to public health facilities, with high quality of medical examination and treatment, and do not need to wrap towels abroad. Students go to school, graduate from school, graduate from class, teachers teach enthusiastically. The State has social security policies that are increasingly meeting the needs of the people. Social housing reaches poor workers. The environment is fresh and less polluted. convenient traffic, no congestion. The city is clean and beautiful, free of garbage and flooding. Society is peaceful, no robberies, criminals.
All of the above are values, each locality "reviews" how much percentage has been done, what value does the people receive created by the government.
Another basic requirement is that in the era of technological development, no one wants to solve the relationship between the State and citizens manually, through the mechanism of asking for and giving, harassing and petty lottery. Let's satisfy the people with a modern, healthy, honest administration, truly serving the people, for the people.
Only by doing the above can growth be completely meaningful.
